Site Services Supervisor
The University of Aberdeen is looking to appoint a Site Services Supervisor to join the team of dedicated staff in Residential Services delivering a broad range of essential core operational services 24/7/365 across the University’s residential estate of owned and managed accommodation (ca 2000 beds).
Based at Hillhead Student Village, you will supervise and manage a shift of Site Services Assistants who are customer focused and multi-functional, undertaking a wide range of customer-facing and practical operational duties. The team play a key role in the effective delivery of services to residents and as such this is a public facing role requiring a high level of interaction with the students, staff and the general public.
The ability to work successfully as part of a team/several teams is essential in the role, as is possession of excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. You must have experience of managing or supervising a team, working with the public, dealing with challenging and sensitive people-related situations, and possess the ability to appraise situations quickly and effectively yet remain calm under pressure.
You must be prepared to work a 7-day, 24hr shift pattern, but with flexibility and a willingness to work other hours or change shift, based on reactive operational requirements.
You will have had previous customer facing and supervisory experience coupled with good IT skills.
A clean, current full driving licence is essential.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 5 Salary Scale, £32,546 - £36,130 per annum.
