Lecturer in Computing Science

The School of Natural and Computing Sciences wishes to appoint one full-time member of staff at Lecturer level in Computing Science to build on our internationally recognised strengths in Natural Language Processing, Computational Linguistics or related areas of computing science research. We welcome applicants with expertise in areas such as language generation, evaluation of generated language or human-centered AI. Applications from candidates whose research complements the broader computing science discipline are also welcome. Applicants should have the ambition to work across disciplines and with industry to achieve their research vision. Successful applicants are expected to strengthen the department’s research expertise.

The successful candidate will also be expected to teach on a broad range of computing science lectures, laboratory classes and tutorials, and to undertake administrative duties as necessary.

 

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 7, £46,735 - £55,755 per annum with placement according to qualifications and experience.
